First impressions are everything…
The way you first approach a prospect has the BIGGEST impact on the entire conversation. The first impression that you give off is going to help that prospect form an opinion about you and the reason that you’re reaching out to them. This is why it’s best to be completely genuine and offer them a solution on the things they need to improve.
One easy way to make your prospecting more productive is to choose a time of the day that works for you and map out about an hour or so to spend strictly connecting with new prospects and following up with ongoing prospects.
During this designated hour you should try to challenge yourself to stay put in your chair for that whole hour to avoid any distractions. Do this by preparing yourself before you sit down to get to work. You can do this by making sure you have everything by you that you might need.
Water, pens, notebook, ect..
The more people you approach when prospecting, the more conversations you will have.
The more conversations that you have, the more people will be interested in your business
and the more people will join you..
There are many important factors when it comes to
recruiting people into your business..
Here are a few :
→ Make sure that you are targeting people within the same like-minded niche.
→ Let them know the reason you are reaching out and how you found them.
→ Take interest in your prospect, their life, and their business.
→ Don’t read or follow a script. Be sincere and be yourself.
→ Don’t take a “no” personally. Most times, any rejections relate to your business. Not you.
→ Develop a conversation and genuinely get to know and qualify the person
before pitching them about your opp.
→ NEVER send a link in a message unless the prospect has
said they were interested and want to see it.
→ Be a leader. Offer them help in whatever way that you are capable of.
→ Ask lots of questions. Create conversation and build a friendship.
→ Have a good attitude. People are more likely to have a conversation with you
if they can see that you are genuine and happy person.
→ Keep it simple. Don’t send super long messages rambling on about your business.
Keep it short and keep them intrigued.
→ Review each conversation. What went well? What didn’t?
How can I make the conversation go more smoothly?
→ Try different approaches until you find one that works for you.
Set Daily Goals..
Make a goal each day of how many people you will reach out to and how many conversations you must have before you are done prospecting for the night. Some people choose to talk with 20 people a day, 50, or 100. Then there are others that prefer to message 20 people every hour. The choice is yours to make, depending on the amount of time you allow yourself and what your personal preferences are. Personally, I choose the 50 a day tactic..
Prospecting can be hard, but it can also be easy if you’re following the right
guidelines and talking with the right people.
